Kiara

Yesterday the grade sixes at my school took a vow of silence. The vow of silence was to raise money and awareness with people with no voice. When you hear "no voice" you may think can't physically speak. What it actually means is people who can't speak up for themselves or what they believe in.

This task was extremelymely hard. When you see your friends on the playground and you have been  waiting to talk to them. Or needing to tell or ask a teacher something but you have to wright it out or some kind of sign language just to tell somebody something.

Some people decided to do complete silence which means no laughing or talking. Sometimes it would just come out because we are not adjusted to not talking for that long. I can even admitt that I accidentally spoke.

I think that this is a very important thing to do. It shows respect and maturity.
