Izzy

We are silent is a fundraising event, for which we agree to be silent for 24 hours. We were not allowed to talk, although I'm sure most of us did at least once. It was a fun, frustrating, and enlightening experience. It really makes you think about all of the people worldwide who are silent. It really makes you want to stand up for all of the child labourers worldwide, who instead of going to school every day, work every day. They are forced to work up to twelve hours, most of the time with no breaks, in horrible conditions. Events like this give us a chance to put ourselves in their shoes, and make us want to really stand up for these kids and fix this problem.
