Chinese immigration act Abbie

                                                 Chinese immigration act 1885

every person born Chinese shall pay $50 except diplomatic corps,or government representatives, and their suite and their servants, consuls and consular agents, tourists merchants, men of science and students, who bearers of certificates of identity. A law stated that was passed saying only one Chinese immigrant could come to Canada for every 50.8 tons of the ship they were travelling on for that one voyage. That mean't that only 10 immigrants could come to Canada on a ship weighing 508 tons.

The Chinese immigration was unjust because Canada wouldn't let Chinese people come into Canada without paying a fee.  Or there was special people that didn't have pay the fee. The Chinese immigration act of 1885 was against the charter of rights section 6 mobility rights that state that a Canadian citizen has the right to live and move to different places in Canada with no trouble.

No I don't think that it could happen because the legislature of Canada is very strict of the rules and would most likely not let this happen to any Canadian citizen ever again.
