The Chinese Immigration Act of 1885
The Chinese immigrants had to pay a fee of $50 tax to move to Canada and by 1903 they would have to pay $500 to enter. It is unjust because it is discriminating the minority of Chinese immigrants and it would be very hard to pay it considering the fact that they only earned less than $1.00 a day. It went against the charter of rights and freedoms by not giving them equal rights to others. I don't think it would happen today because it goes against the charter of rights and freedoms and people would know that is not right because they took the act off at one point so they must of knew it was not right.
